When George Carlin died there were a lot of retrospectives from the countless interviews he has done over the years. Listening to Fresh Air on NPR he made mention that sex is a biologic need, and the only way we continue on as a species, yet we treat it like a dirty thing.



This really got me to thinking more about something I have wanted to write about for a while. It’s just things that piss me off about the way I see the state of something wonderful.



Before my skeletons launch themselves out of the closet and start dancing around the stripper pole that is my life, let me say this. Fetish, and intercourse for me are mutually exclusive properties. I have done things of a sexual nature that was not sex. Often this has been done because it was fun and seemed like a good idea at the time or as a mechanism for me to please myself, when I am alone, with myself.



It was a choice on my part to have exclusive sexual contact with one person, and not a fanatical dictate handed down but my supposed moral superiors. It’s a mark of the species when we can rationally make this choice, with thought and intellect. I don’t think it is a wrong thing to not be confined to the parameters that I choose, and I encourage everyone to revel in their choice.



If I like, and at sometimes crave desperately, to share acts of extra bizarreness then that doesn’t make me or anyone else a freak unless these acts are done with out consent, or done with someone ore something that can not make an informed decision about it, then that makes me or anyone else a criminal. (Minors and animals. Sorry, a sheep or a donkey can’t give proper consent.)



Sex often is about love, but mostly about trust and sharing. I was in the military for 21 years and it was all about killing, and at its most basic level reducing the population. Sex is about increasing it and continuing the fight for survival. Why is it alright to have a video game that graphically depicts bloody carnage, yet if something that came out with full frontal it would cause an up roar of unheard of proportions?



I figure it comes down to the old axiom, “It is easier to destroy, than to create.”



What the fuck is wrong with us when we treat sex as dirty or as taboo? There is something wrong when the porn industry a couple years ago out grossed mainstream Hollywood in sales. There are a whole lot of people out there that are into it, but not talking about it. I know from frequent personal experience that there is more to sex that the mechanical procedures. I know the heart gets wrapped up, hence the phrase “Love Making”, and a broken heart is the hardest thing to get over. But that is a matter for the individuals involved, and not preconceived notions handed down my some defining authority. Because I have to, and often do feel for my partner, is part of my decision to be monogamous.



I didn’t make the choice to be heterosexual. I don’t think gays of either sex made that choice either. For me my sexuality is part of who I am, and I think at our cores, part of who we all are. I love Love in any incarnation that there is. That is why it pisses me off and to think it is incredibly crass, I am going to lose Man Points for this I am sure, to suggest that someone has sex with someone of the same sex if that isn’t their thing. Yep, guys quit asking your lady to have lesbian trysts if you aren’t willing to take one for the team. So do me a favor, unless it’s her idea, and knock the shit off! It’s embarrassing.



Girls, you’re not of the hook either. If you aren’t in the mood do not suggest that a guy do himself, and then ask to watch…. That is just wrong. If you aren’t in the mood and I suggest that is what I am going to do and would you like to watch, that’s different. We are not Playstaions!



We should all just love ourselves for who we are. We should all just love each other for who they are. All I am saying is to defy the societal norm, and accept sex as something great, something personal and absolutely individualistic gift that happens between two, or more if that is the way you want it, people that is consensual for all parties involved.



I read my news on Foxnew.com because I quite frankly have conservative leanings, but the thing I find quite shameful and can be said for aspects of conservatism in general, is that everything involving sex between two consensual adults is a scandal. I want my politicians and other leaders hammered for the misuse of the public trust and finances, and not who they choose to do a natural act with. I want to see them screwed for not doing their jobs in our best interest, and not because the got some on the side. In a few of these case I would have owned up to it and said, “Hell yes! Did you see her? She’s a hottie!”



Okay. I feel better if not a bit worked up.
